📍 Wednesday 30th September 2026
📍 Hardwick Hall Hotel – Grand Marquee
Set within the elegant surroundings of the Grand Marquee at Hardwick Hall Hotel, this year’s event promises an afternoon filled with style, entertainment and meaningful impact.
Celebrating the very best of the North East remains central to everything we do, and this year we continue our focus on showcasing exceptional local talent and business figureheads from across our region.
Guest speaker - Ann Ming MBE
Ann is a British campaigner from Billingham, Teesside, best known for her pivotal role in advocating for changes to the double jeopardy law in England and Wales, following the murder of her daughter.
Your Host – Steve Walls
We’re thrilled to welcome back the brilliant Steve Walls to lead us through the afternoon. Proudly North East born and bred, Steve is a familiar television face and an accomplished presenter, comedian and vocalist. With his trademark humour and dynamic stage presence, he’ll ensure the room is buzzing from start to finish.
On the day, you’ll be joining 450 fabulous women — friends, colleagues and new connections — for:
✨ A beautifully served three-course lunch with wine
✨ A glass of Prosecco on arrival
✨ A hand-selected collection of stylish and inspiring stalls
✨ Moving stories from two charities who will benefit from proceeds raised through our Grand Prize Draw
Every ticket purchased directly supports North East Ladies Day (NELD), enabling us to distribute vital funds to local charities and community organisations across the region.
This is an afternoon designed to bring people together in friendship and make a difference by raising money for North East charities. 💛
Purchase NowWe have been supporting small, local charities since 1983, and are proud to continue supporting these charities that need financial help the most.
We have already raised over £400,000 for local, North East charities and we don't plan on slowing down now! The Charities we work with are small, grassroots charities and may have difficulty accessing funding, so the support they receive from NELD is a big step in keeping these charities going.
We host two major annual events, which are our primary fundraising efforts for the local charities we support. The NELD events have consistently grown and continue to be a sold-out success!
In 1983, our president, Jean Stuart, had a vision for ladies to come together in friendship and raise funds for local and well deserving charities.
We are proud to continue this tradition of supporting local projects that have no other access to funding. These charities and projects continue all thanks to the attendees of our events, who continue to purchase tickets and make each of our events a massive success!
We would love to hear from you, whether you're a local charity in need of funding or you'd wish to support NELD in any way, please contanct us via email and one of our trustees will contact you.
Get in TouchWe funded the refurbishment of a large upstairs room which can accommodate the community for events, be hired out to raise much needed funds and used as a weekly meeting room for Steel Grace, who are open to ladies on a Tuesday 12 – 5pm when they offer lunch, tea & coffee and clothes to ladies in need or who are just looking for company.
Theresa and Tom Cave are the mother and brother of Chris Cave, who was stabbed to death whilst helping other young people who were going down the wrong path. The foundation supports and educates families and local communities affected by violent crimes, whilst providing an outlet for young people influenced by violent crime to focus their energy and gain new skills.
NELD supported the young person's activities throughout the summer holidays including, 2 x family first aid classes to bring parents together to spend time with their children and learn and have fun at the same time.
We funded play equipment including fibre optic lights for their therapy centre who support some of our region's most complex children and adults as well as lots of items for those children with ADHD who are thrill seeking!
NELD Supported the set up of Hartlepool's first free clothing shop which opened February 2023. In the first two weeks alone over 300 people were helped with warm clothing and coats.
